I believe contemporary works of art should not be placed within a series of categories according to the traditional disciplines of the arts. Increasingly the work of individuals deemed to be artists or fashion designers reflects the increasing diversity of contemporary artistic practice.

The 2012 Pulse art fair crew created their own version of the Shit People Say meme with Shit People Say at Art Fairs and it’s pretty cute. “I saw this at the Biennial,” “Is this the way to Basil [sic]” and “Is this free?” lines are hilarious.
One major thing I would add is they should’ve featured some critic or curator saying, “I only go to the fairs for the parties” or “I hate art fairs” while walking through the aisles, but then again I can’t image a marketing department ever being able to get away with that without being fired.
